• In Fall 2023, EBI and the program EB Digital School was registered as a nonprofit in the State of Texas.

• In Fall 2024, EBI courses were registered with TWC, Texas Workforce Commision.

• In Spring 2025, TEA (Texas Education Agency) approved EBI as an official continuing education provider for teachers in Texas.

• In Fall 2025, EBI underwent a formal review to expand its accreditation to include grades 6 through adult, encompassing our online middle and high school diploma-track programs.

• In Fall 2025, EBI received official notification of accreditation approval by substantive change, including EB Digital School’s online secondary education programs.

Structured Middle School Program (Grades 6–8)

Students in our class-paced middle school program follow a 4-day weekly schedule (Tuesday–Friday) that blends independent learning with live interaction. Using the Imagine Learning Edgenuity curriculum, students complete core coursework and participate in:

• Live Daily Homeroom and Community Building

• Live English Language Development (ESL) classes based on proficiency

• Remote After-School Clubs including Book Club, International Club, Spanish & ASL Language Clubs, and Running Clubs (Sprint & Long Distance)

This balanced approach offers both structure and flexibility in a small-group microschool setting designed for secondary students. It leads directly into our high school diploma-track program.

Self-Paced Middle & High School Programs (Grades 6–8 and 9–12)

Our self-paced middle and high school programs follow a flexible, student-driven model. Learners complete all core and elective courses independently using the award-winning Imagine Learning Edgenuity platform—used by districts and private schools nationwide.

Support includes:

• On-demand academic help from Imagine Learning’s certified teachers for specific questions or difficult sections

• 1-on-1 check-ins with an EB Digital School teacher, available in 15-minute sessions during school operation hours (Tuesday–Friday)

Live classes, clubs, and ESL sessions are not included in this model—making it ideal for independent learners, frequent travelers, homeschool families, or those needing non-traditional hours.

Parents can divide tuition into 10 monthly payments. We also provide a limited number of grants that cover 50% of tuition for qualifying students. Ask us about it!

We are a Texas-registered nonprofit organization, with 501(c)(3) status pending. Our primary goal is to better the field of education for ESL students and increase teacher effectiveness, happiness, and retention.

Completely separate from EB Digital School, EBI is a career school that offers continuing education courses. We offer online asynchronous courses for both new teachers and ESL educators looking to develop their teaching skills with emergent bilingual students. We enroll current teachers, prospective teachers, teacher assistants, learning coaches, substitute teachers, ESL educators, and administrators looking to enhance the services they provide to the EB population.

We also provide our professional development students with free and low-cost digital resources and career services.

We believe financial barriers shouldn’t stand in the way of learning new skills. Yes! In Texas, teachers are required to complete 150 hours of CPE for renewal. We are an official TEA Texas CPE Provider.

EBI is an Accredited Career School/Continuing Education Provider/Professional Development Institute/and TEFL academy. EBI is not a university or alternative certification provider leading to initial licensure. EBI is an educational institution that offers continuing education services for educators, with non-credit-bearing certificates of completion. Our courses promote educator success and student academic gains. Additionally, all of the courses we offer have been reviewed by the Texas Workforce Commission. We are also approved by TEA and recognized as an official CPE provider.
